CTDirect Coiled Tubing Directional Drilling System
The CTDirect coiled tubing directional drilling system minimizes reservoir damage during underbalanced or managed pressure drilling. The CTDirect system includes:
- a drill bit and motor or turbine for enhanced drilling efficiency
- a steering assembly for continuous surveying, logging, and advanced drilling mechanics
- an electrical orienter for continuous trajectory control.
Ideal for underbalanced and short-radius drilling, the CTDirect system allows you to produce while drilling untapped reserves in drilling applications. The system also enables you to achieve maximum reservoir contact, increase production potential, and produce while you drill.
Guyana project overview
ExxonMobil initiated oil and gas exploration activities in Guyana in 2008, collecting and evaluating substantial 3-D seismic data that led to the company safely drilling its first exploration well in 2015, Liza-1.
While U.S. shale remains a global hot spot, with multi-billion-dollar investment plans from supermajors ExxonMobil Corp. and Chevron Corp., independent producers have been under pressure from investors to focus on delivering returns rather than ambitious growth plans.TechnipFMC's Subsea 2.0™ at a glance

BP Atlantis Subsea Project Animation
The brief from BP was to develop an interactive media solution for BP’s Atlantis Project designed for presenting to congressmen, senators and media in the US.
This ground-breaking 3D animation tells the complete story of BP’s Atlantis Project – from discovery of the reservoir and the subsea development, through to topsides and export.
Ever wondered how they create such detailed animations?
Animation of Maersk Oil Qatar’s
Al Shaheen Project
Maersk Oil Qatar’s Al Shaheen development boasts many record breaking achievements, ranging from the most extensive 3D seismic survey ever, to drilling the world’s longest horizontal well.
The Al Shaheen development has reached a momentous stage in the project lifecycle as the field celebrates 20 years since first oil. During that time 300 wells have been drilled and the one billionth barrel milestone has been reached.
With a field of this complexity, 3D animation is the perfect medium to demonstrate exactly how the project challenges have been overcome. This animated video has been strategically designed to suit a range of audience groups by achieving a balance between technical and generic information.
Animation of Anadarko's Lucius Project
Myriad Global Media has followed the Lucius project throughout its development, from discovery and appraisal through to engineering, fabrication and installation. The focus is on capturing what makes this project unique from an engineering perspective and how this feeds into the philosophy and capabilities of Anadarko and its partners. Filming commenced with footage of the 23,000-ton Lucius Spar’s christening ceremony, in Pori, Finland, and its subsequent journey to the Gulf of Mexico.
Many of the corporate videos produced by Myriad have been hosted on Anadarko’s YouTube channel, ‘AnadarkoTV’, and regularly achieve over 10,000 hits on YouTube.
Riserless Light Well Intervention
TechnipFMC has established a strong reputation for innovation with its Riserless Light Well Intervention (RLWI) technology. This service helps the operators overcome the challenge of obtaining increased or additional production from mature oil fields. One of the biggest advantages of using RLWI is the elimination of a rig to perform operations. The operation can be executed from a vessel, resulting in lower costs. About 400 RLWI operations have been completed by TechnipFMC in the last decade.
